Mr. Lex de Kok

Lex de Kok specialises in both public and private law. He has a public sector practice and has worked for many years for a large number of public authorities in the fields of administrative and environmental law, as well as property development and real estate.

His focus is on regulation affecting land use, such as zoning plans and environmental permits and the issues that arise with them, for example nitrogen deposition. He also focuses on environmental permits and environmentally harmful activities.

He also practises expropriation and public procurement law.

Within his specialism, he also acts for private parties, particularly in the real estate and construction sectors, chemicals, ports and food. He has extensive experience with the European chemicals regulation REACH.

Within his field of expertise, he also deals with new developments such as translating sustainability and circular construction into the tendering and contract phase, smart cities, digitalisation and privacy.

Lex has been a lawyer (advocaat) since 1992 and studied Dutch law and notarial law at the University of Amsterdam. He is a member of the Dutch Construction Law Association (Vereniging voor Bouwrecht) and the Dutch Environmental Law Association (Vereniging voor Milieurecht).
